5,6,7,8,9

  1.                                                                                                                                                                                               5. Put it back together,
I will forgo,
I forgot,
It was a foregone conclusion...
Forgive and forget,
for god's sake.
Nothing wasted, nothing new,
nothing tasted, nothing tried
nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Baba Yaga and the 40 thieves.
Fill every space,
use every inch
Doritos tacos locos,
sights and photos,
muchas cosas para hacer.
To-do list, never done,
life goes on.
Call Carly,
ticky clock
tic tic toc
clean up the shit and take out the trash
get rid of excess,
sing, dance, play piano, paint sanctuary,
no pain no gain
♥ Nature

6.  Vanitas

makes you laugh and cry,
dances with chance,
strange changes
flowers fade, storms pass.
Coyote walks the dry prairie.
Raven, eagle, hawk,
cowboy's buffet.
Why did he leave me dangling on this hook?
Is it the way I look?
Smaller and sadder, where are we going?
Lovely, lovelorn, loveless,
weary, need rest.
Werewolf bite, mermaid kiss,
climbing all day for mountaintop bliss.

7.  Blank canvas, empty heart,

nervous hands.
saw you in your prison blues,
yellow jacket pet.
Flat trumpet notes, taps.
Friends beyond the veil. Fog and trees,
What does it all mean?
Why are you still here?
Voices, lonely in a crowd,
I miss you.

8.  3/13

Dreams and wishes,
dirty dishes,
purrs and hisses.
Homework is done,
housework begun.
Calls to make,
pills to take,
shoulder the burden I carry.
Work hard,
pay the debts,
Is this as good as it gets?
In love with love,
grateful for gratitude,
true friends,
and puppy kisses.
Enjoy the flower
as it blooms,
the petals wither, all too soon.

9.  Winding roads

Around each turn, a beautiful new vista,
blue green trees blanket hillsides,
white water rambling river,
cascading through gorgeous gorges,
moss draped stones and branches,
blue skies, wind whisked clouds,
cliffs and caverns,
rushing waterfalls,
and as night falls,

a dear in the headlights.
